UV Flexo Low Odor Inks
Our UV Flexo Low Odor inks are designed for film and paper substrates throughout a wide range of anilox; 200-1500. Adjustments for ink thickness, press speed, bulb selection, and energy levels make the curing very flexible for the user.
The Low Odor UV Flexographic inks are designed for films and some papers throughout a wide anilox range of 200 through 1500. Flexible curing parameters can be adjusted for the desired ink film thickness, press speeds, bulb selection, and energy level. An excellent UV opaque white is suggested as a base on film for subsequent color enhancement. Pre-testing is recommended to determine the highest processing speeds possible for a complete cure.

The Low Odor UV Flexographic inks are designed for the packaging industry and require a minimal pressman interaction. The inks reduce hazardous odor emissions in the shop environment. The adhesion is fast and hard with vivid imagery that contributes to improved product presentation.
Curing: UV Flexo inks only cure with UV light at the proper wavelength. Cure speeds are dependent on many variables including press speed, substrate, ink density and deposit, bulb type, and energy level. Trial is mandatory to receive desired results.
Adhesion: UV Flexo inks will post-cure so maximum adhesion, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance will be achieved in 24 hours. Further enhancements can always be extended through various additives and promoters if desired.
Shelf Life: Inks should be stored at room temperature with used inks stored in a separate opaque polyethylene container to avoid contamination.
Cleaning: Although certain UV cleaners require gloves, we have a water-based cleaner that is excellent for people that do not prefer to use gloves. However, this cleaner should not be used on plates.
Colors: Bases, metallic, phosphorescent, fluorescent, pearlescent, and customs are available.
Specialties: The following anilox is recommended for the following one part systems: Metallic Inks – 360; Phosphorescent Inks – 440; Flourescent Inks – 360; Pearl – 440.
