BRADEN
SUTPHIN LAUNCHES ENHANCED ECO FRIENDLY INK SERIES
CLEVELAND – October,
2007 – Braden Sutphin Ink Company has introduced EcoPride, an
enhanced ink series that features low VOCs to replace its Earth Pride
Tuff Skuff and Earth Pride UV Coatable ink series. The EcoPride
ink series will be available to printers nationwide October 15.
“EcoPride features an expanded colorant selection that makes it easier
for printers to accurately match critical colors,” said Marc Castillo,
Braden Sutphin technical manager. “EcoPride has the same
capabilities as our established Earth Pride Tuff Skuff and Earth Pride
UV Coatable inks, but it features increased pigment strength and
improved transfer, allowing the press operator to carry a thinner ink
film on the rollers and deliver better color consistency on the press.”
In addition to traditional colors in the Earth Pride Tuff Skuff and
Earth Pride UV Coatable ink series, EcoPride will also feature new
Pantone® Goe™ system colors.
EcoPride is the most recent addition to Braden Sutphin’s growing list
of environmentally friendly inks, which it has been manufacturing for
more than two decades. The new ink series will be the first
environmentally friendly ink to be evaluated against Braden Sutphin’s
new EcoSmart standards.
“Because there are no universal “green” ink standards currently
in place for the ink manufacturing or print industries, we took the
initiative to establish our own standards,” said Ray Loomis, Braden
Sutphin national sales manager. “In fact, Braden Sutphin is in
the process of finalizing its EcoSmart certification standards as well
as an EcoSmart seal that will help printers and end users identify our
environmentally friendly products and provide a clear definition of
what makes each specific product ecosmart.”
